Among all the trains in Japan,
the fastest is the Shinkansen,
also known as the bullet train.
But today, we’re not talking about the train itself—
we’re focusing on something you’ll find on the platform.
It’s called an “ekiben”.
Put simply, it’s a bento box—
but what makes it special is that
each station sells different kinds,
often unique to that area.
Many of these bentos are regional specialties,
so unless you actually visit that location,
you won’t be able to try them!
Also, you might be surprised
at how quick and efficient the staff are
when you buy one.
As soon as you place your order,
they’ll have your ekiben ready in no time—
watching their skills in action
is a cool experience in itself.
