There was a time when I wanted to stop over on Shinkansen while traveling in Japan. But at first I was worried, “Once you get off, can’t you use it anymore?.” So I did some research and found that if I buy the basic ticket and the limited express ticket separately, I can stop over.
For example, if you go from Tokyo to Hakata and want to stay overnight in Shin-Osaka. If you buy a ticket between Tokyo and Hakata and buy a limited express ticket separately between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka and Shin-Osaka, you can stop over without any problem. You can continue your journey with the same ticket the next day. If I had bought everything in one piece without thinking about it, it would have been invalid when I got off halfway. From this experience,
I learned that travel tickets can be both good and bad. That’s why I think it’s important to do a little research and think about it and choose the way to buy it that is most profitable for me.
